Kids Creative Art Studio Hour

Enjoy a fun hour of creative art with professional Artist & Elementary Art Teacher, Ms. Shelley, in her Art Studio at Smart Toys & Books! Kids (ages 5-11) will be able to choose the project they would like to create using quality art supplies. All projects are able to go home the same day!

Choices include:
-glow art, spin art, or canvas painting
-design a mosaic flowerpot, butterfly, or birdhouse
-make super slime with add in's and a creative art jar
-paint an adorable ceramic animal figurine

Teen Creative Art Studio Hour

Artists, ages 10-14 will be working on individual projects based on their personal interests and creative ideas. They will be able to choose the masterpiece they would like to design using a variety of high-quality art supplies, while Ms. Shelley, a professional artist and art teacher, provides expert guidance to help bring their visions to life. 

Options available:
-Canvas Painting, paint pours, and glow art
-Clay sculptures with Italian clay or polymer clay
-Mosaic Art
-Students attending multiple classes during the summer can work on long-term projects and have access to the 3D printers to design custom pieces to put into their artwork!

Family Art Class

Enjoy a fun Family Art Event taught by professional Artist & Elementary Art Teacher, Ms. Shelley, in her Art Studio at Smart Toys & Books!

Artists (ages 4+) and their amazing Adults (of any age) will each be able to design their own creative masterpiece in this fun class as each person gets to choose the project they would like to create using quality art supplies.

Choices include:
-glow art, spin art, or canvas painting
-design a mosaic flowerpot, picture frame, butterfly, or birdhouse
-paint an adorable ceramic animal figurine
-create a very cool canvas paint pour

Fall 2026 Art Semester 

We just wrapped up another amazing semester of Spring Art and are getting ready to start up Summer Art Classes and Camps! May is my month of getting summer camp supplies together and the lesson plans ready for the Fall semester. The schedule and enrollment for Fall will be available starting May 15th, 2026. There will be a wonderful selection of Homeschool, Family, Kids, and Teen art classes and I am thinking about adding an Adult After Hours art class as well (when the store is closed and all is calm on the indoor playground.) Stay tuned!

​Weekly Art classes are simply the best as my Art Studio is happily busy with colorful paint moving on canvas, clay taking shape, and creative kids making amazing masterpieces they are excited to take home!

As an Artist and Elementary Art Teacher, I enjoy making new and exciting lessons and always look forward to seeing what my students create while providing a fun, safe, and "ok to make a mess space" for that to happen!
